--DEsaru Trip
I just got back from DEsaru malaysia on sunday evening. IT WAs a trip filled with mixed feelings.
Firstly the frustrating Part--> I got so many mosquitoes bites on my feet that i just simply lost count of it. We were watching the FA cup final at the desaru hotel and the mosquitoes are flying around like ants attracted to sweet stuff!! THey are just flying all over , right in front of your face hair, legs, EVERYWHERE. I was watching the exciting match and rubbing my legs at the same time!!!! ANyway, MAN U was clearly the better team but it was just simply hard luck. haiz....
Disappointed part--> We were just soccer ball crazy that we started playing soccer in the desaru holiday chalet, right in the tiny living room. WE played one on one match and unfortunately we broke the glass panel. The glass panel is located at the bottom of the sliding door. The three words " lost for words" really did describe what happened after that. The younger ones panicked and ran into the room and pretended to sleep, Lousy actors. The older ones stood where they are and our jaws really dropped. We started cooking up excuses blah blah blah, in the end we decided to just tell the truth. In the end, nth really happened, i think the aunties paid for us.
Happy moments--> We cleared the customs and made our way to Giant plenton where we did our glocery shopping and there was porn haven. They sold porn like they were selling pots and pans!!! Sad sight to see was one shop sold baby monkeys, they were caged up and when i stretched my hand out to touch them , the little fingers wanted to grab my wristband. Sad sight man. We bought some stuff and as usual some of us could not resist the porn offer temptation. BUT NOT ME, i bought some movies vcds and some other stuff, thats all.
The first thing we did when we arrived at the holiday chalet was moved the furniture outside so that we can chill outside later. THen we headed straight for the beach in BOXERS which was walking distance from our chalet. WE set up goal posts and started playing beach soccer, we had great laughter and fun at the same time. ALthought we were told to keep off the water due to sharks presence, we could not resist the calm looking water and the wave. We went to soak ourselves in the water and the current was wooooooo!! After that we went back and get ready for the FA cup final. After watching the game, we had the 'illegal game' and later chill outside the chalet and chat till four plus. WE slept for an hour before we have to get ready for the sunday game.
On Sunday, the aunties and uncles managed to arrange a game for the senior guys against admin staff from the sports school of Desaru. IT WAS scorching HOT!! eggs could be fried in a matter of minutes. We played 20 mins per half and for the last five mins of the second half, we asked the ref and were told there was five mins left for the game BUT it went on like 10 more mins!! The opponent managed to score a late equaliser and the ref finally blowed the whistle. PErsonally that is BIASNESS!
Frightening part--> While chilling outside the chalet, i saw 'brother' near the tree about 20 metres away. it just floated and made his or her way to enjoyment.
Another frightening moment was whenScott had itchy fingers and took a picture of open air with my cam while we were chatting. He just took it out of real itchy fingers. He caught a picture of 'brother' face. I wont display it. You can ask from me if you would like to see.
EVery good things have to come to an end, after the game we made our way back to singapore. IN the bus we were discussing how to hide this and that. Everyone cleared the customs without being checked but i was the unlucky one, haiz, luckily the officer was friendly and nice. i had some stuff like gums and vcds and an opened cigarette pack( my friend's). My stuff was in moderation size so i dont think it was a problem.
Overall it was an exciting trip and i hope this trip can be organised annually or even every public holiday! Have to thank the aunties and uncles that make it possible........
